About the Role
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join our team at Atrium Health Pineville. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for performing procedures in accordance with departmental protocols and standards. You will operate MRI scanners and associated equipment with a high level of proficiency, ensuring the highest quality images for our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Verify patient orders and refer any discrepancies to the Radiologist.
- Prepare patients for procedures, explaining the process and documenting their medical history.
- Administer IV contrast as needed and record the type and amount used.
- Evaluate image quality and consult with Radiologists as necessary.
- Perform basic patient care functions and initiate life support measures when needed.
- Assist Physicians/PA during invasive procedures and maintain knowledge of MRI safety requirements.
Requirements
Graduate of an accredited two-year AMA approved program in Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology required. ARRT certification in Radiologic Technology, ARRT or NMTCB for Nuclear Medicine with advanced registry from the ARMRIT or ARRT in MRI required within one year of hire. CPR certification required.
