Position Overview

What You Should Know About the Registered Nurse - Hospice Inpatient Care Role:

  • We are seeking a PRN Registered Nurse - Shifts are from 7am to 7pm, Monday through Friday.
  • This role is situated within our inpatient care unit.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Hospice Inpatient Care:

The RN is responsible for planning and delivering patient care by utilizing the nursing process, which includes assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN will also engage effectively with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members while upholding professional nursing standards.

Qualifications for the RN - Hospice Inpatient Care:

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program; an Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) is required; a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred.
  • Possession of an active Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio, free from any board actions.
  • A minimum of two years of acute care nursing experience is preferred.
  • Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine (CHPN) is preferred and must be obtained within two years of employment (eligibility requires completion of 500 hours in hospice/palliative care within the last 12 months).
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Proficient computer skills for accurate documentation of services and care.
  • Ability to drive in various conditions, including daytime, nighttime, and inclement weather.
  • A valid Driver's License with a safe driving record.
  • State minimum automobile insurance coverage.
