Key Responsibilities- Communication Support: Develop, prepare, produce, coordinate, and edit a variety of products, including finished intelligence products, strategy and planning documents, talking points, and speeches.
- Assignment Preparation: Prepare assignments based on input from subject matter experts, ensuring that all products meet the required standards.
- Mentorship and Training: Mentor and train junior staff, providing guidance and support to help them develop their skills and expertise.
- Content Creation: Utilize tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud suite to create compelling content that meets the needs of our customers.
- Request Management: Utilize request management tools such as NarQuest to provide swift, high-quality customer support for communications requests.
- Product Development: Research, proofread, edit, create, write, process, revise, format, and provide quality checks for the composition of products for hardcopy and electronic publication, as well as dissemination on multiple platforms.
- Product Variety: Develop products in a variety of formats, styles, and configurations, including written and web-based products.
- Documentation and Editing: Ensure documentation and editing support includes checks for accuracy and consistency in organization, style, readability, and accessibility based on the medium.
- Communication Materials: Draft and edit a variety of communication materials and products, including but not limited to talking points, speeches, quotes, remarks, leadership communications, marketing copy, newsletter content, website content, and other communications products.
- Authorship: Serve as the primary author on fact sheets, pamphlets, website content, articles, email messaging, and other communications products, as needed.
- Task Execution: Initiate, plan, execute, and report on tasks independently, as identified.
- Speech Preparation: Prepare and edit speeches or scripts for senior executives for live or recorded delivery, testimony, and statements for Congressional Record.
- Submission Rewrite: Rewrite submissions as necessary to organize, balance, and apply a consistent sense of style, grammar, and flow to these written materials.
- Information Conveyance: Convey complex information in a clear and simple manner.
- Tradecraft and Publication Standards: Ensure all products are consistent with tradecraft and publication standards.
- Leadership Support: Advise and coach leadership on the presentation and delivery of speeches.
- Education and Experience: Requires a Bachelor's degree and 18 years of experience or a Master's degree and 10 years of experience.
- Clearance: Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph.
- Technical Skills: Experience using MS Office suite, MS Teams, and SharePoint, as well as Adobe Creative Suite is desired.
