Job Summary

The Recovery Center of Kentucky is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Peer Support Specialist to join our team in West Louisville. As a key member of our Afterschool program, you will play a vital role in supporting children and adolescents with behavioral challenges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality instruction and support to individual clients and small groups
  • Administer one-to-one intensive behavior intervention to clients
  • Assist with de-escalating client behaviors and reintegrating clients back into society
  • Collaborate with staff, administration, and families to identify best practices for individual and small groups of clients
  • Maintain data-based documentation of continuous monitoring of client performance and progress
Requirements
  • Certified Peer Support Certification in KY
  • Proven experience working in mental health
  • Demonstrates an understanding and use of equitable and culturally responsive practices
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience managing behaviors
  • One Team, One Calling

Job Types: Full-time

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm

Ability to commute/relocate: Louisville, KY

Education: Associate (Preferred)

Experience: Behavioral health: 1 year (Preferred)
