Backroom Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Backroom Coordinator to join our team at TJ Maxx. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for executing receiving and merchandising standards, ensuring Associates are processing efficiently and effectively, and working as a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities- Merchandise Management: Create a positive internal and external customer experience by ensuring merchandise is properly tagged, hung, secured, and coded.
- Team Collaboration: Train and mentor Associates on merchandising and processing principles, and work closely with the Coordinator on Duty to ensure efficient flow of goods to the sales floor.
- Productivity and Efficiency: Monitor productivity of the team and coach as necessary, and ensure Associates complete tasks and activities according to store plan.
- Store Maintenance: Maintain and uphold merchandising philosophy and signage standards, and ensure all organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the backroom area are met.
- Compliance and Safety: Ensure compliance with recycling and hazardous waste programs, and promote safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
- Communication and Organization: Superior communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Teamwork and Adaptability: Able to work effectively with peers and supervisors, and respond appropriately to changes in direction or unexpected situations.
- Leadership and Training: Capable of training others and providing recognition and constructive feedback.
- Physical Demands: Able to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation.
We offer a competitive compensation package, including a starting pay range of $13.00 to $13.50 per hour, and a range of benefits, including Associate discount, EAP, smoking cessation, bereavement, 401(k) Associate contributions, and more.
