About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Nuvance Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our healthcare providers in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Collect and review patient medical records, test results, and other relevant information to ensure accurate and timely care.
  • Clinical Support: Assist healthcare providers with patient exams, procedures, and treatments, ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
  • Administrative Tasks: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient charts, prepare and file medical records, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
  • Communication: Effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Quality Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety, and contribute to a culture of excellence within the organization.

Requirements:

  • Certification: Current Medical Assistant certification (e.g., RMA, CMA, CCMA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience in a physician office or clinical setting.

Working Conditions:

This role requires light to moderate physical effort, with prolonged periods of sitting, standing, and walking. The work environment is fast-paced and dynamic, with regular exposure to a variety of unpleasant physical working conditions and occupational hazards.
