About the Role

The Automotive Technician is a key member of our team, responsible for delivering exceptional service to our guests by conducting basic vehicle diagnostics and performing routine vehicle repair and maintenance services in accordance with company standards and manufacturer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform thorough vehicle inspections to identify required repairs and communicate with guests about necessary services.
  • Complete Monro's Courtesy Inspection process, documenting and communicating additional needed services and repairs to guests.
  • Assist with inventory management, including pulling tires and parts, unloading, and stocking inventory.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and organized store environment, adhering to Monro's standards for cleanliness and guest readiness.
  • Perform services in accordance with Monro's safety standards, including wheel torque, oil safety, and compliance procedures.
  • Test drive vehicles, utilizing dedicated test drive routes while adhering to local traffic and safety laws.
  • Understand and adhere to company policies, governmental standards, and ANSI/OSHA regulations.
  • Maintain technical knowledge and capabilities through timely completion of Monro University training courses and modules.
  • Operate and maintain equipment safely, adhering to Monro and equipment manufacturer guidelines.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Automotive training, including basic car maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • ASE certification and State Inspection license (where applicable) preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and satisfactory Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Basic set of tools or participation in Monro's tool purchase program.
