Staff Nurse Leader

Lakewood Healthcare Center is seeking a compassionate and skilled RN Staff Nurse to provide high-quality care to our residents. As a key member of our team, you will work under the supervision of our Director of Nursing Services to deliver personalized care that meets the unique needs of each resident.
Job Summary:
- To provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting
- To assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care to ensure optimal outcomes
- To collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- To maintain accurate and comprehensive medical records
- To participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance resident care and safety

Responsibilities:
- Administers professional services and provides care consistent with allowing residents to attain or maintain their highest practicable physical, mental, and emotional well-being utilizing the nursing process of assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care
- Conducts daily resident rounds to assess and evaluate the resident's physical, medical and emotional status and to implement or revise nursing interventions to the resident plan of care
- Records care information accurately, timely and concisely. Completes all required documentation including resident assessments, interventions, and patient response(s) in the medical record in accordance with policy
- Makes rounds with the attending physician, as necessary
- Prepares/administers medications as ordered by the physician and within the legal scope of practice
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing
- Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board
- Strong qualities of leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Possess critical thinking skills to analyze, synthesize, and evaluate clinical data and observations in developing a nursing plan of care
Salary: $65,000 - $90,000 per year
