Key Responsibilities- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on cranes, welders, mobile equipment, dust collectors, bins, rails, fuel tanks, irrigation, construction equipment, electrical, plumbing, sewage, paint, and blast equipment.
- Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair internal combustion engines, air compressors, pumps, and other equipment as needed.
- Fabrication and Welding: Fabricate special lifting or towing attachments, hydraulic systems, shields, or other devices according to blueprints or schematic drawings.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is performed to the highest standards of quality and safety.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of industrial or military maintenance experience working in a general industrial maintenance shop with 480 volts, 3-phase electrical circuits or equivalent mechanical competency.
- Certifications: Completion of a 1-year technical training certificate in an electro-mechanical degree program may be substituted for work experience or a 2-year technical associate degree in an electro-mechanical field may be substituted for work experience.
- Skills: Ability to interpret technical manuals, electrical schematics, and hydraulic/pneumatic circuits; proficiency in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing 480 volts, 3-phase electrical circuits or equivalent mechanical competency.
The Maintenance Technician will work in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment with varying temperatures, humidity, and noise levels. The individual must be able to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in areas with uneven terrain.
