In your role as a Senior Marine Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for fabricating and assembling various electromechanical and electronic systems while adhering to safety protocols. Your work will take place on U.S. Naval Ships and military facilities, playing a crucial part in our mission to safeguard and serve our military.



Key Responsibilities:


• Conduct various tests or experiments that may require minor adjustments in test setups or procedures, utilizing standard test equipment to record data accurately.


• Follow initial instructions and equipment requirements, performing routine tasks independently while ensuring technical adequacy and troubleshooting any issues.


• Undertake assignments that may not be fully standardized, including constructing components or adapting standard equipment.


• Maintain detailed records of engineering data, perform calculations using specified formulas, and create simple graphs and curves from collected data.


• Execute tasks such as tensile or hardness tests, operate and adjust basic testing equipment, and document test results.



Qualifications:
To excel in this position, you should possess:

• Experience working on ships.

• A High School Diploma or equivalent.

• The capability to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance.

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, with a preference for those with a background in electrical work.


• The ability to gain access to shipyards, complete a background investigation, and pass a drug screening.


• An OSHA certification is preferred.


• Familiarity with NAVSEA standards and practices related to electrical repair, fabrication, and installation.


• The physical capability to work in high-temperature environments, navigate shipyard structures, and lift up to 50 pounds, with the majority of tasks requiring the ability to carry, push, or pull weights of up to 40 pounds.


• A strong emphasis on safety protocols is essential.


• Willingness to travel up to 25% to various work sites as needed.


• Flexibility to work in diverse locations.



Additional Desired Skills:
• An active DoD Secret Clearance.

• An OSHA Certification.
