Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cook to join our team at Vitality Living Elizabethtown. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious and appetizing meals for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review menus and Daily Food Production Record for instructions and prepare meals accordingly.
  • Prepare meals that meet company standards for quality, presentation, and safety.
  • Clean kitchen areas, including preparation and service areas, pots and pans, kitchen surfaces, walls, and floors, according to cleaning schedule.
  • Attend and participate in onboarding and annual training, in-services, and team member meetings as requested.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by Culinary Services Director or Sous Chef.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have two years of experience in institutional or full-service restaurant cooking.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing.
  • Maintain food handlers permit and any other certifications as required by state or provincial regulations.
  • Understand food safety procedures, sanitation of equipment measures, and storage techniques.
  • Meet state of provincial health-related requirements.
