Under the guidance of the department Supervisor or Manager, the Senior Clinic RN is responsible for planning, directing, and delivering exceptional nursing care in compliance with the Washington State Nurse Practice Act and the clinical standards of Pacific Medical Centers. The role involves adhering to professional nursing practice standards, procedures, and protocols.

The Senior Clinic RN integrates the nursing process to provide effective patient care and leadership. This position emphasizes a collaborative and systematic approach to nursing practice, ensuring efficiency through active participation in quality assurance, process improvement, infection control, and staff development initiatives. Compliance with state regulatory guidelines is essential. The RN will provide specialized care within a designated specialty department, employing critical thinking skills, experience, and demonstrated competency in various patient care scenarios.

Required Qualifications:

  1. Nursing degree (Baccalaureate, Associate, or Diploma) from an accredited nursing program.
  2. Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
  3. National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
  4. ACLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  5. A minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience in an inpatient or specialty care environment.
  6. 3 years of recent experience in a specialty care or acute care setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Training in equipment utilized within the specialty department.
  2. Training in equipment and instrument sterilization.
  3. Training in sterile technique.
  4. Certification in specialty (CCRN, CNOR, or CGRN) upon hire.
