About the Role: We are seeking a skilled Healthcare Transformation Expert to join our team as a Forward Deployed Engineer. In this role, you will play a critical part in helping Medplum's customers get the most value out of our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accelerate Customer Success: Conduct enterprise workshops and trainings, troubleshoot customer implementations, provide technical guidance, and create documentation to help customers unlock value for their patients and providers faster.
  • Serve as a Strategic Partner: Build relationships with customer executives and become a trusted thought partner for the C-Suite to help them plan their EHR strategy, operations, and execution.
  • Expand Existing Customer Value: Gather intel, secure executive buy-in, and manage new implementation work streams to identify and implement new use cases at existing customers by educating them on the 'art of the possible.'
  • Develop Enterprise Features and Integrations: Write code for core healthcare workflows, such as e-prescribe, labs, health networks, billing, benefits check, etc.
  • Prioritize Product Roadmap: As a team member with direct customer contact, you'll be the voice of our customers and integral for identifying new features and use cases for the platform.
  • Lead Team Development: Set the tone for the Forward Deployed Engineering team, developing tools and benchmarks for success, and continuously optimizing how we serve customers.

About You:

  • Exceptional Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate across various channels.
  • Technical Expertise: Full stack TypeScript experience and ability to write Medplum Bots, data migrations, and third-party integrations.
  • Self-Managed and Autonomous: Self-managed with autonomy in working with customers, requiring effective time management, follow-up, and attention to detail.
  • Relationship Builder: Ability to identify technical and business leaders at each customer and become a trusted partner to their organization.
  • Customer-Focused: A 'win at all costs' mentality, focused on making sure Medplum is successful at any given deployment.
  • Experience and Location: 3+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical sales, customer success, or technical consulting role, based in the SF Bay Area, ready for twice-weekly in-person collaboration.
  • Bonus Experience: Experience deploying developer products, and/or health tech industry experience.
