Key Responsibilities:- Operate and maintain conventional optical equipment and CNC machines to produce high-quality machined parts.
- Interpret work orders, blueprints, and engineering specifications to execute machining tasks accurately.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance procedures by conducting in-process inspections and maintaining detailed records.
- Provide technical support for engineering processes, including tooling design and process development.
- Train production staff on essential processes and procedures to enhance overall productivity.
- Collaborate with quality assurance teams to uphold product standards and resolve any production issues.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in precision optical machining.
- Proficiency in CNC programming and operation.
- Strong mathematical skills and the ability to apply shop math effectively.
- Experience with optical materials and conventional polishing techniques.
This role involves standing for extended periods and requires good hand-eye coordination and dexterity. Candidates must be able to perform tasks that involve close vision and depth perception.
Work Environment:The position is situated in a manufacturing setting, where safety protocols are strictly followed. Employees may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and various cleaning solutions.
