Role Overview
The Radiation Therapist is responsible for executing specific technical duties related to radiation therapy and ensuring the efficient operation of the department.
Key Responsibilities
- Effectively utilizes all electronic systems and tools.
- Assists with administrative tasks as needed.
- Demonstrates comprehensive technical knowledge to perform high-quality imaging for various diagnostic examinations while ensuring patient safety and care.
- Conducts quality imaging suitable for patients across all age groups and medical conditions.
- Ensures accurate patient identification and documentation of exam indications and history.
- Facilitates patient and family education in accordance with departmental protocols.
- Exhibits punctuality and reliability in attendance.
- Adheres to company policies, procedures, and directives.
- Interacts positively and constructively with colleagues and patients.
- Effectively prioritizes tasks and manages multiple responsibilities.
*Placement within the pay range is determined by various factors, including relevant experience and qualifications. Additional compensation may be available for this role, including shift differentials, extra shift incentives, and bonus opportunities. Minimum Qualifications
Experience:
- Minimum of 1 year of acute care experience or equivalent.
Education and Certifications:
- Current California Diagnostic and Therapeutic Radiology Technology (RHA) or Therapeutic Radiologic Technology (RHT) certification required.
- Current CRT license in California (preferred).
- Current ARRT (RT) license in Radiation Therapy (required).
- Current fluoroscopy license in California (preferred).
- Current American Heart Association Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
