Responsibilities
The Primary Care Physician Assistant will work closely with our team of physicians to provide direct patient care, utilizing their skills and training to deliver high-quality patient outcomes. Key responsibilities include:
- Obtaining medical histories and performing physical exams within established protocol
- Diagnosing, treating, and monitoring chronic diseases within protocol guidelines
- Ordering diagnostic tests and prescribing medications as necessary
- Providing preventive health screenings and immunizations for children and adults
- Promoting positive lifestyle habits through education and counseling
- Assisting with office surgeries and maintaining patient charts
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and following up on patient progress
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess a Master's degree in nursing or a Graduate degree from a Physician Assistant training program. They should also have at least 3-5 years of clinical practice experience in an acute care setting and 1-3 years of experience as an APP in an acute or primary care setting. Required licensure and certifications include Certified Nurse Practitioner, Certificate of fitness through American Academy of Nurse Practitioners, and state-specific RN and CRNP licenses. BLS or ACLS certification is also required.
Pay Range
$45.96 - $51.71 /hour
