Assistant Manager - Veterinary Hospital Operations

Southern Veterinary Partners is a dynamic and growing organization that values teamwork and compassion. We are seeking an experienced Assistant Manager to join our team at Dominion Animal Hospital in Herndon, VA.

Job Summary

The Assistant Manager will assist the Hospital Manager in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the hospital, ensuring a positive and efficient work environment for our team members and exceptional patient care for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the Hospital Manager in managing hospital staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Oversee administrative tasks, such as scheduling, payroll, and inventory management.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and hospital standards.
  • Collaborate with the Hospital Manager to address client concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Participate in hospital-wide initiatives to improve patient care, staff engagement, and business performance.
Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience in a veterinary hospital or related field.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients, staff, and vendors.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
