Company Overview:Sparks Group, a leading staffing agency, has partnered with a prominent Government Contractor in Western Fairfax County to seek a highly skilled Compensation Strategist. This contract-to-hire opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience in compensation analysis, Workday, and a strong background in human resources management.
Job Description:As a Compensation Strategist, you will be responsible for managing the annual equity review process, ensuring pay positioning is appropriate for all employees. You will work closely with the compensation team to distribute analysis, submit pay adjustments, and create pay statements. Additionally, you will serve as a contributor and backup to team members on impactful programs and tools, including the Merit Process, Total Rewards Statement, and BetterComp Administration. You will also participate in special projects and assist with benefits during open enrollment and acquisitions.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business administration, or a related field, or additional related work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 3+ years of experience in HR, preferably in compensation or total rewards, or 7+ years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, with advanced Excel proficiency desired.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, with good communication (oral and written), organizational, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to draw conclusions from data and develop recommendations.
- Experience working in a large organization, with previous experience with a Government Contractor preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and experience managing large processes in Excel.
- Experience with Workday and Fidelity is required.
