Position Overview
San Diego State University's College of Arts and Letters is actively seeking qualified candidates for their part-time lecturer pool. The institution is interested in individuals with a strong background in the following disciplines:

These temporary roles may vary in terms of commitment, ranging from full-time to part-time positions. Candidates selected from the part-time pool are typically appointed shortly before the academic term commences, thus availability on short notice is essential. The academic calendar consists of two main terms, with potential teaching opportunities available during summer sessions as well.

The initial rank and compensation for lecturer positions will be determined based on the applicant's professional experience and educational qualifications, as assessed by the hiring department. Typically, new hires begin at either Lecturer A or B level, generally positioned at the lower end of the salary spectrum.
Salary Information
As of July 2023, the salary ranges for various lecturer ranks are as follows:
Lecturer A: $5,007 - $6,359
Lecturer B: $5,925 - $12,594
Lecturer C: $6,500 - $13,831
Lecturer D: $8,184 - $14,487
