This position provides a range of nail care services including manicures, pedicures, nail extensions, and nail art with precision and creativity, while maintaining cleanliness and sanitation of workstation and equipment and adhering to the strictest sterilization protocols.
Key Responsibilities:- Cleanliness and Sanitation: Clean and sanitize tools and work environment, maintaining the standards of sterilization and sanitation as directed by Orchid Island.
- Nail Care Services: Apply undercoat and clear or colored polish onto nails with brush, shape and smooth ends of nails, using scissors, files, or emery boards, and prepare nail cuticles with water and oil.
- Client Services: Prepare member client's nails in soapy water, using swabs, files, and orange sticks, remove previously applied nail polish, using liquid remover and swabs, and schedule member client next appointments.
- Product Knowledge: Advise clients on nail care and use of products and colors, and treat nails to repair or improve strength and resilience by wrapping.
- Business Development: Promote and sell nail care products and promote other spa services, treatments, and upcoming and current specials.
- Workplace Safety: Practice safe work habits and routines in order to avoid injury.
- Cosmetology License: State of Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation Cosmetology license.
- Experience: Proven experience in providing exceptional nail care services.
- Knowledge: Strong knowledge of nail products and trends in the industry.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to cleanliness and sanitation practices.
This is a 1099 independent contractor position. Pay range is between $28-$53/hr depending on type of service delivered.
