Early Childhood Psychologist

Southwest Human Development is seeking a highly skilled Early Childhood Psychologist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work with young children ages birth to 5 and their families to provide comprehensive assessments and interventions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in transdisciplinary team assessments to develop comprehensive treatment plans
  • Administer, score, and interpret psychological and developmental tools for young children, with a focus on autism spectrum disorder evaluations
  • Collaborate with team members to synthesize assessment results and develop integrated treatment plans
  • Complete comprehensive reports and provide treatment recommendations and connections to community services
  • Counsel families regarding assessment findings and impressions
Requirements:
  • Doctorate in Clinical or School Psychology
  • Licensed Psychologist in the state of Arizona
  • Post-doctoral experience in evaluations with children birth to 5 years
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a trans-disciplinary setting
  • Experience using relationship-based approaches to treatment and assessment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with young children ages 0-5 with Autism
  • Knowledge and assessment of trauma in young children
  • Familiarity with the DIR and DIRFloortime intervention
