Job Summary

Brown University Health is seeking a skilled Respiratory Therapist RRT to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality respiratory care to patients.

About the Job

This part-time position involves working shift 3, with opportunities to work independently and as part of a team. You will be responsible for administering respiratory therapy, educating patients, and maintaining equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respiratory Care: Administer therapeutic treatments in a timely manner, perform arterial blood gas (ABG) drawing and analysis, and operate mechanical ventilators.
  • Patient Education: Educate patients about respiratory treatments, ensuring they understand the importance of their care.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain equipment in a functional and sanitary condition to provide effective and safe care.
Requirements
  • Certification: Certification by the National Board of Respiratory Care and licensure in Respiratory Care by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts are required.
  • Experience: Previous experience in respiratory care, particularly in an inpatient and outpatient setting, is highly desirable.
