Requirements:
  • Deep understanding of refrigeration sealed systems, including psychometrics, thermodynamics, and fluid mechanics.
  • Experience leading HVAC/R research projects involving empirical testing, simulation, novel technologies, or applications, and data collection.
  • Working knowledge of SolidWorks, CoilDesigner, and VapCyc or comparable heat exchanger design tools.
  • Effective technical communication skills and ability to produce professional and usable engineering output.
  • Teamwork, project management, and leadership skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience leading or having a primary role on a team to bring new products to market using a New Product Development process.
  • Working knowledge of regulations, standards, and codes such as those produced or endorsed by IEC, IEEE, NEMA, NEC, UL, AHRI, and ASHRAE.
  • Understanding of Design for Six Sigma and demonstrated understanding of environmental, reliability, and qualification testing.
