Job Description:

As a key member of the Army National Guard, the Interior Electrician plays a vital role in the operation of electrical systems within various facilities. This includes offices, repair shops, airplane hangars, and other buildings.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install and repair electrical hardware, including transformers, junction boxes, service panels, electrical boxes, switches, and circuit breakers.
  • Ensure the safety of electrical work and systems using test meters.
  • Inspect power distribution systems, shorts in wires, and faulty equipment.
Required Skills:
  • Fundamentals of electricity.
  • Electrical circuit troubleshooting.
  • Safety procedures.
Desirable Skills:
  • An interest in electricity, science, and math.
  • Ability to use hand tools.
  • Preference for doing physical work.
