Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Control Technician to join our team at RoadSafe Traffic Systems. As a Traffic Control Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety of our workers and the general public by maintaining a safe work zone and diverting traffic around construction areas.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support Project Operations: Assist project teams as a flagger to create a safe work area and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Set Up and Remove Traffic Control Devices: Install and remove signs, cones, and safety barriers to divert traffic and maintain a safe work zone.
  • Follow Safety Protocols: Adhere to all safety rules and regulations, and wear proper safety equipment, including work boots, hard hat, and safety vest.
  • Communicate Effectively: Communicate with contractor employees, coworkers, and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution and manage truck inventory and job site materials.
  • Perform Administrative Tasks: Complete daily paperwork accurately and manage job site paperwork.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements

This role requires regular exposure to outside weather conditions, moving equipment and machinery parts, and dealing with the traveling public. The noise level of the work environment is usually moderate to loud, and the role requires standing, walking, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds for extended periods.

Requirements
  • Pass a Drug Test: Must pass a pre-employment drug test.
  • Flagger Certification: Ability to participate and pass Company Sponsored Flagger Certification.
  • Excellent Attendance and Work Ethic: Must have excellent attendance, dependable transportation, and a good work ethic.
  • TCT Training Certification: Must complete required TCT Training Certification within 2 months of hire date.
