Diagnostic Imaging Professional

This Radiology Technologist position requires a skilled professional who can work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing patient care, safety, and image quality. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to delivering compassionate patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- X-ray Imaging: Produce accurate and detailed x-ray images of specified body areas, following strict quality control measures.
- Patient Interaction: Communicate effectively with patients, explaining procedures, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
- Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and testing equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Film Processing: Develop and interpret x-ray images, applying knowledge of anatomy and radiographic principles.
- Contrast Agent Administration: Assist in the administration of contrast agents, ensuring accurate dosing and minimal risk to patients.
- Patient Records Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including film jackets and electronic documentation.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education and Certification: High School diploma or equivalent, required; successful completion of an approved radiological training program and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), required.
- Licensure and Experience: Current license/certification in the state of practice, required; at least one year of experience in a setting serving the same age/type of patient population served by this facility or department, preferred.
