Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and issue bills and invoices as required.
- Adhere to No-Fault and Workers' Compensation regulations.
- Adjust billing for visits based on case type changes.
- Reissue bills when additional information is received.
- Resubmit claims for various reasons as necessary.
- Analyze reports to pinpoint billable items and errors.
- Communicate with medical facilities to obtain missing documentation, including reports, procedure notes, ultrasound images, consent forms, referrals, or intakes from various departments.
- Execute additional tasks such as requesting document corrections, scanning and uploading supporting documents to the database, and updating insurance, employer, or accident details.
- Provide precise information and supporting documentation while maintaining professional communication through phone, email, fax, and mail.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 12 years of experience in No-Fault and Workers' Compensation billing.
- Familiarity with No-Fault and Workers' Compensation regulations in New York.
- Knowledge of ICD10 and CPT coding systems.
- Understanding of HIPAA guidelines and compliance.
- Proficiency in medical terminology, accounts receivable follow-up, denials, and appeals.
Compensation:
Salary is commensurate with experience, with an hourly rate starting at $22.00.
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Medical Biller & Coder (Required).
