Doctorate:
Graduation from an accredited pharmacy program.
CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE:
PHARMD - Licensed Pharmacist
OR PHARMR - Registered Pharmacist
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (for those responding to emergencies)
TYPICAL EXPERIENCE:
1 year of recent relevant experience.
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmaceutical names, calculations, and relevant laws and regulations.
Understanding of various pharmacy practice environments, including narcotic management and protocols.
Ability to recognize and utilize pharmaceutical and medical terminology, abbreviations, and symbols commonly used in medication prescribing, dispensing, and documentation.
Requires a foundational understanding of legal standards and accreditation requirements, including those set by the National Association of Boards of Pharmacy (NABP), The Joint Commission (TJC), and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Possesses strong written and verbal communication skills to convey sensitive information clearly and professionally to diverse audiences, including non-medical individuals.Demonstrates effective time management and organizational abilities, with the capacity to prioritize tasks and work within established procedures to meet objectives and deadlines.
General proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook), relevant pharmaceutical technologies, and electronic health records.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.Identifies, assesses, and resolves standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
Ensures the confidentiality of each patient's protected health information (PHI).

Pay Range:
$90.97 to $100.06 / hour
The salary range for this role may vary based on location and other factors, including a candidate's experience, education, skills, licensure, and departmental needs.
Base pay is one component of the total rewards program offered by Sutter Health. Eligible positions may also qualify for a comprehensive benefits package.
