About the Role:

The Maintenance Team Advisor will play a critical role in developing and implementing cost-saving initiatives, renovation projects, and safety protocols for the manufacturing facility. This position will lead the operation of various plant groups, including energy systems, production mechanics, electrical/electronics, and facilities maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and justify cost-saving projects to improve operational efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Lead the preventive maintenance program, ensuring timely maintenance and repairs of production equipment and facilities.
  • Administer the emergency repair process and coordinate production equipment changeovers.
  • Monitor repair history and downtime records to identify areas for improvement.
  • Contribute to the development of methods and equipment to enhance productivity and capabilities.
  • Coordinate projects and routine efforts with various plant departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Define required resources and establish action plans to measure project progress and monitor adherence to time, cost, and project parameters.
  • Prepare data and calculations for expenditure estimates and budget planning.
  • Prepare and administer labor and repair budgets for energy systems, electrical, and facilities maintenance.
  • Make recommendations for equipment placement and modifications to improve operational efficiency.
  • Coordinate the installation of new equipment and renovation of existing equipment, facilities, and grounds.
  • Coordinate training and development programs, including safety programs, for high-skill-level groups.
  • Monitor developmental progress and develop plans to improve performance.
  • Coordinate process development and engineering design with Corporate Engineering.
  • Participate in systems analysis, automation feasibility, and justification studies.
  • Produce working drawings of equipment and floor plans.
  • Investigate new technology in production methods and recommend applications for Schreiber Foods.
  • Develop and administer energy conservation programs to optimize resource utilization and minimize costs.
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, as well as customer requirements, in collaboration with the leadership team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Food/Dairy, Science, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field (Associate's degree in a technical field considered).
  • 3 years of experience in industrial work.
  • General computer skills, mechanical aptitude, and interpersonal skills to work from a supplier-oriented function.
  • Ability to travel up to 5%.
