About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Design Build Engineer III to join our growing Design Build Organization at HNTB. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for producing and modifying design calculations, technical reports, engineering plans, and specifications for alternative delivery projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with project managers to perform research, development, calculations, design, and delivery of complex projects.
  • Apply engineering techniques, procedures, and design criteria to produce high-quality designs and calculations.
  • Leverage technical knowledge, experience, and client relationships to assist in the execution and evaluation of project designs.
  • Develop conceptual and detailed designs and calculations to support project execution using current drawing and technical tools, programs, and software.
  • Mentor, train, and review the work of junior engineer staff and provide constructive feedback.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Engineering and 3 years of relevant experience, or PhD in Engineering and 2 years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication skills, including written technical reports and oral presentations.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
  • Proficiency in 3D integrated design software and alternative delivery methods.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering.
  • 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills.
  • Experience with change management and documentation.
