Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Prosthetist and/or Orthotist to join our team of dedicated clinicians. As a key member of our patient care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive prosthetic and orthotic care to patients, collaborating with other healthcare professionals, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop treatment plans to meet their unique needs
  • Formulate and implement prosthetic and orthotic designs, taking into account new techniques and materials
  • Perform fittings, including static and dynamic alignments, to ensure proper fit and function
  • Provide education and training to patients and other healthcare professionals on the use and care of prosthetic and orthotic devices
  • Collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation team to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of innovative solutions to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Current board certification in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics from the American Board for Certification (ABC) or the Board of Certification (BOC)
  • A baccalaureate degree in prosthetics and/or orthotics, or the foreign equivalent, and current ABC Board-Eligibility in Prosthetics and/or Orthotics
  • A valid driver's license and driving record within the standards outlined within Hanger's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy and Procedures
  • In states where licensure is required, the ability to obtain and maintain state licensure may be required as well
