Job Summary

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team in a contract position serving a small school community in Ohio. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will work with K-12 students in both general education and special education settings, assessing students referred for possible speech and language needs, determining eligibility for speech services, and providing individual and group therapy sessions.

Responsibilities
  • Assess students referred for possible speech and language needs
  • Determine eligibility for speech services and work with an interdisciplinary team to determine appropriate goals
  • Provide individual and/or group therapy sessions for children with identified speech and language disorders
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and present them to parents, school administrators, and others involved with student evaluations
  • Consult with teachers, counselors, parents, nurses, and administrators on speech and language concerns
  • Maintain accurate records for all children on the caseload
  • Provide reports of children's progress to parents
  • Organize caseload and develop a schedule for each assigned school or classroom
  • Develop resource materials for use in speech and language development
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communications Disorders
  • Ohio SLP license
  • Certificate of clearance from the Ohio Department of Education
Preferred Qualifications
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Solid organization skills
  • Up-to-date knowledge of Ohio Special Education procedures and best practices for SLPs in school settings
  • Professionalism and accountability
