About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Engineer II to join our R&D Software Development team in Miami, FL. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, integrating, and debugging complex software programs for laboratory medical devices and new product development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop Windows/Linux-based software applications
  • Translate detailed design into a computer program for medical device software
  • Assist in developing technical documentation to represent application design and code
  • Document software and write technical specifications for interfaces and testing
  • Participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to standards and specifications
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or closely related field
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience designing and developing C# and/or Python-based solutions and experience with user interface development
  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with MS tools and technologies such as Visual Studio, unit testing frameworks, Azure DevOps, or AWS
  • Skills in strategic thinking, problem-solving attitude, good planning, and time management
  • Expert in Unit Testing, OOA/OOD development methodologies, and design principles
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in medical device design and development
  • Experience in Agile development processes and philosophies
  • Ability to work well with people and be highly motivated and motivating
