Job Summary:

The Convenience Store Team Member provides exceptional customer service and supports the overall success of our retail store. This role is responsible for creating a positive shopping experience for customers, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and assisting with sales and inventory management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Provide friendly and helpful service to customers, answering questions and resolving issues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including dusting shelves, cleaning windows, and restocking merchandise.
  • Sales and Inventory: Assist with sales and inventory management, including processing customer transactions, handling cash and credit card payments, and maintaining accurate inventory levels.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with store leadership and other team members to achieve sales goals and maintain a positive store environment.
  • Loss Prevention: Identify and report any potential security risks or losses, and take steps to prevent them.
Requirements:
  • Customer Service Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers and team members.
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Mathematical Skills: Basic mathematical skills, including the ability to handle cash and credit card transactions accurately.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 60 pounds, stand for long periods, and move quickly and efficiently in a retail environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or retail sales is preferred.
  • Cash Handling Experience: Previous experience handling cash and credit card transactions is highly recommended.
