Job Description

The ideal candidate will have an Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience and 2+ years of payroll experience. They will be responsible for assessing general payroll, preparing reports, and administering and processing payroll for clients.

  • Works closely with assigned clients to assess general payroll needs and develop strategies for efficient payroll processing.
  • Prepares and reviews reports, returns, and other documents as required, including payroll reports, year-end tax forms, and other reports needed by clients.
  • Coordinates with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, including updating payroll systems, collecting and verifying time sheets, and preparing payroll tax deposits and other reports.
  • In-house payroll processing and download/filing of payroll returns.
  • New hire setup and communications.
  • Coordination with client support for payroll agency correspondence matters.
  • Garnishment, benefit plan obligations, and other required reporting to Accounts Payable.
  • Download of payroll transactions if processed by a third-party vendor.

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree in Accounting or equivalent work experience required.
  • 2+ years of payroll experience required.
  • Understanding of payroll laws and guidelines.
  • Strong technology skills.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to think innovatively.

Benefits:

Our company offers a competitive salary range of $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including health insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, an employer-funded profit-sharing plan with a 401(k) option (upon meeting eligibility requirements), group term life insurance, disability insurance, flexible spending accounts, and a flexible time off and paid leave program.
