X-Ray Technologist Job Description

Concentra is seeking a skilled X-Ray Technologist to join our team. As an X-Ray Technologist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care to our patients by performing routine x-ray examinations and supporting medical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures, including escorting them to dressing and x-ray rooms, providing verbal and written instructions, and assisting with positioning body parts for radiography.
  • Operate radiologic equipment to produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, ensuring patient care, safety, and comfort during the x-ray exam.
  • Use radiation safety measures and protection devices to ensure the safety of patients and team members.
  • Ensure radiologic equipment remains in working order, reporting malfunctions to the Center Operations Director.
  • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation related to patient x-ray visits.
  • Perform medical support duties, including DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing, preparing patients for physical examinations, and assisting providers during examinations and treatments.
Requirements:
  • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
  • Completion of a state-approved Limited Scope Technician certificate program and license, if applicable.
  • CPR/First Aid Certification.
  • At least six months of medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and medical terminology.
  • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements, preferred.
