We're seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Liberty Military Housing. As a key member of our maintenance crew, you will play a critical role in ensuring the cleanliness and upkeep of our properties, providing exceptional service to our residents.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in custodial/maintenance roles, with a strong understanding of grounds maintenance and ability to operate hand and power tools. You will be responsible for performing routine cleaning and upkeep of grounds, buildings, amenities, and surrounding areas, as well as assisting with repairs, replacements, and installations of window and door screens, light bulbs, and other fixtures.

You will also be expected to maintain accurate records of work performed and report any maintenance concerns or issues to management in a timely manner. Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, district office, pool, recreation areas, parking lots, and surrounding areas.
  • Remove trash from grounds, office areas, homes, and surrounding community perimeter on a daily basis.
  • Detail interior and exterior areas regularly using general cleaning tools and equipment (e.g., broom, mop, vacuum, rake, or blower).
  • Assist with snow shoveling (where applicable) of sidewalks and main entry areas.
  • Help prepare make-ready units, including removal of trash from vacant homes (trash outs), touch-up paint, and general cleaning prior to make-ready.
  • Assist with various physical tasks as directed, carrying and removing abandoned furniture, tools, appliances, and other equipment.
  • Assist with repairs, replacement, and installation of window and door screens, light bulb, and other fixtures.
  • Clean and maintain storage and shop areas.
  • Assist Service Technicians as needed.
  • May perform minor interior and exterior touch-up painting/caulking.
  • Clean air conditioning vents, replace air filters, and smoke detectors.
  • Perform any additional routine cleaning/maintenance on property as requested by supervisor.
  • Report any maintenance concerns or issues to management in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Entry-level to 6 months of general custodial/maintenance experience.
  • Beginning-level understanding of grounds maintenance.
  • Ability to use hand and power tools and cleaning equipment applicable to job requirements.
  • Effective communication and interaction with co-workers, managers, vendors, or residents.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle (valid license required).
  • Basic computer skills preferred.
  • Ability to travel to other regional locations for work, training, meetings, and other work-related activities.
  • Ability to independently lift/carry supplies or equipment up to 65 lbs.
