This Gastroenterology role involves providing care to adult patients in a combination of inpatient and outpatient environments, ensuring comprehensive coverage.
Practice Highlights:
- Support staff includes 3 Medical Assistants, 2 administrative personnel, and 1 Advanced Practice Provider.
- Average patient load of 12-16 individuals per shift.
- Utilization of Epic for electronic health record management.
Work Schedule:
- Combination of call and clinic duties, with a rotation of 2 weeks per month.
- 3-4 days per week dedicated to procedural work.
- Call rotation of 1:4.
Procedures and Cases:
- Conduct upper gastrointestinal endoscopies with biopsy, foreign body extractions, and hemostatic interventions.
- Perform ERCP with PEG, esophageal manometry assessments, small bowel biopsies, lower gastrointestinal endoscopies, sigmoidoscopies, colonoscopies with biopsies and polyp excisions, as well as liver biopsies.
