Job Title: Nuclear Medicine- Oklahoma Children's Hospital- PRN

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at Oklahoma Children's Hospital. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will play a critical role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients using radiopharmaceuticals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Calculate and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic treatments under the direction of a physician.
  • Start IV's and urinary catheters as needed.
  • Calibrate and maintain equipment, including Geiger counters, scalers, and scintillation detectors.
  • Assist with maintenance of files and encoding patient data.
  • Work with hazardous materials.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program.
  • Certification in Nuclear Medicine Technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist or the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB).
  • Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Nuclear Medicine laboratory principles and techniques.
  • Ability to prioritize work and perform under stressful and emergency situations.
  • Good communication skills and ability to interact and work as a team with staff and medical personnel.
