Nurse Aide for Personal Care

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Nurse Aide to join our team at Frederick Living, a part of Garden Spot Communities. As a Nurse Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring, and getting to and from activities and meals according to the resident's individual needs.
- Assist residents with eating and drinking, such as meal and beverage selection, cueing for meal completion, and/or hands-on feeding. Assist residents in between meals with obtaining snacks and hydration throughout the day.
- Encourage resident participation in leisure activities provided for residents as described in the activity calendar, social events, walking program, or as needed to practice de-escalation techniques per resident's support plan.
- Assist in admissions, transfers, discharges, and death procedures.
- Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including telephone calls, and requests from family and friends, visitors, or other personnel.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Must be willing to obtain medication administration certification upon hire as well as complete a minimum of 6 hours of dementia education annually.
- Preferred experience in caring for the elderly with cognitive impairments.
- CPR/First Aid Certification preferred.
