Key Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly and respectful service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance as needed.
  • Maintain a neat and clean store environment, including clearing trash, cleaning mirrors, and vacuuming.
  • Support sales floor and warehouse functions, including receiving and processing incoming shipments, completing markdowns, and organizing the stockroom.
  • Process customer transactions, including cashwrap and digital orders, while following DSW's policies and procedures.
  • Actively participate in daily team meetings and ongoing training, and be open to coaching and feedback.

Requirements

  • Professional, friendly, and respectful demeanor.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to move with tempo to meet time-bound expectations.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in using technology to engage with customers.
  • Ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or walking around the store.
  • Lifting, including the ability to lift up to a maximum of 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum of 1 year of retail experience as Cashier, Retail Floor Generalist, or Store Receiver.
