Job Description:

The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing community engagement programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of individuals with developmental disabilities. This position requires a strong understanding of the needs and preferences of individuals with developmental disabilities and the ability to work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to achieve program goals.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement community engagement programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to identify and implement meaningful group activities that emphasize the preferences of individuals served.
  • Provide daily instruction and guidance to staff regarding activity delivery methods and techniques as well as at staff meetings.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required; certification in Activity Coordinator is preferred.
  • Two years' experience working with developmentally disabled adults, including planning and conducting activities for this population is necessary.
  • A valid driver's license in good standing with car registration and vehicle insurance is required.
Salary:

$17.50 per hour.
