VDC Engineer

Whiting-Turner is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our Virtual Design & Construction (VDC) team. As a VDC Engineer, you will play a key role in creating virtual simulations to validate and improve site logistics, safety concerns, building sequencing, scheduling, and VR experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage 3D coordination activities with operation teams from project kickoff through closeout.
• Perform preconstruction model tasks – quality verifications, schedule validations, constructability reviews, and virtual mock-up production.
• Drive research and development of new software, hardware, and technology to optimize the team's execution and overall project quality.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in BIM software programs and technology.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work well with cross-discipline teams.
• Data analytics, visual programming, and VR/AR experience.

Education/Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Architectural, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management related fields or Associate degree in VDC/BIM technical concentration with 3-5 years of experience.
• BIM software, hardware, and technology knowledge.
