Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Pharmacist to join our team at Walgreens. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective dispensing of medications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide pharmacy consulting services to patients, including medication counseling and education.
  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and company policies.
  • Conduct clinical and wellness services, such as immunizations and diagnostic testing, to promote patient health and well-being.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers and other team members to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest pharmacy technology and systems, including workflow, prescription fulfillment, and billing.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to maintain current knowledge and skills.
Requirements
  • BS in Pharmacy or Pharmacist Degree from an accredited educational institution.
  • Current pharmacist licensure in the states within the district.
  • Experience performing prescription dispensing activities that demonstrate a strong working knowledge of applicable state and federal controlled substance laws.
  • Certified Immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 90 days of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 1 year experience as a pharmacist in a retail setting, including prescription filling and verification, records and legal compliance, pharmacy operations, pharmacy software and technology systems, and insurance.
