Position Details:
As a Cardiac Surgery Acute Care Nurse Practitioner:
- You will collaborate with a team of 4 Cardiac Surgeons and 6 Advanced Practice Providers.
- Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with complex cardiovascular surgical cases, particularly in vein harvesting and chest closure.
- You will round in a 20-bed Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit.
- Experience with endoscopic vein and radial artery harvesting is essential.
- Cases will involve ECMO insertion, CABG, and valve repair/replacement.
- You will perform procedures such as central line placements, chest tube insertions, and arterial line placements.
- Your role will also include conducting patient interviews and documenting comprehensive patient histories.
- Typical schedule: Monday to Friday with on-call duties every 6 weeks.
