Work Schedule:
- Day Shift - 8 hours
- Full-Time (1.0) FTE
- Monday to Friday
- Rotating weekends and holidays among the Nuclear Medicine team
Position Overview
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist is tasked with overseeing, directing, and executing the patient care delivery for Nuclear Medicine procedures. This role collaborates closely with the Director of Medical Imaging services and the Senior Nuclear Medicine Technologist. The position involves performing technical procedures that necessitate independent judgment, creativity, and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for computerized tomographic diagnosis.
Qualifications Required
Essential:
- Associate's Degree
- Less than one year of relevant job experience
- Specific Degree(s): Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine Technology program
Licensure and Certifications:
Mandatory:
- Basic Life Support (CPR) certification from the American Heart Association
- Certification as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB)
- Additional: Registered by NMTCB as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT)
- Licensed by the Illinois Emergency Management Agency (IEMA) Division of Nuclear Safety
