Work Schedule :
1.0 FTE, 40 hours/week.

This position is scheduled for evenings with variable shifts of eight (8) and ten (10) hours, primarily including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations as required. Hours may fluctuate based on departmental operational needs.



Compensation :
UW Health provides a competitive salary and benefits package. Relevant work experience will be considered when establishing the starting base pay.

New hires may qualify for a sign-on bonus ranging from $2,400 to $3,000 (pro-rated based on FTE).

We are looking for a Nursing Assistant (CNA, NA) to:

  • Prepare rooms and equipment prior to surgical procedures.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance of equipment in line with safety protocols.
  • Manage specimen transport and testing for the Inpatient Operating Room.
  • Assist with patient positioning, transport, intentional rounding, stocking, and ordering of supplies.
  • Support the maintenance of high standards of patient care within a surgical services environment.


Education :
Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent and completion of a State of Wisconsin approved Nurse Aid Training Program.

Work Experience :
Preferred - At least one (1) year of recent experience as a Nursing Assistant.

Licenses and Certifications :
Minimum - Must be registered on the Wisconsin Nurse Assistant/Home Health Aid Registry, with CPR certification required within three months of hire.
Preferred - CPR Certification.
