Nursing Opportunities

  • Position Variability: Responsibilities vary based on assignment.
  • Internal Traveler Program: This program allows nurses to explore extensive opportunities at UVA Health. Internal Traveler roles include:
  • Non-benefitted Position: These roles do not include benefits.
  • Competitive Compensation: Compensation is competitive with other traveler roles, offered at an hourly flat rate without differentials or incentive pay.
  • Diverse Clinical Practice: Opportunities are available across a wide range of clinical settings.
  • Contract Duration: Positions are offered in 13-week increments, with the possibility of renewal for up to 39 weeks.
  • Incentive Pay: A one-time incentive of $2,500.00 is available with the first 13-week assignment.

Compensation Range: Hourly

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is required within five years of hire.
Experience: A minimum of one year of RN experience is required.
Licensure: Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification is mandatory.

Physical Requirements
The role requires prolonged standing, frequent bending, stooping, and traveling. Candidates must possess proficient communication, auditory, and visual skills, with a keen attention to detail and the ability to write legibly. The ability to lift, push, or pull over 100 lbs is essential. Exposure to various environmental factors, including fumes, chemicals, and infectious diseases, may occur.
