Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Practice Nurse to join our team as a Public Health Specialist - Nurse Practitioner. In this role, you will provide critical support in delivering MAT services to individuals struggling with opiate use disorder, utilizing your expertise to promote healthy behaviors and improve quality of life.

You will collaborate with public health staff to design and implement health promotion strategies, leveraging telehealth systems to reach a wider audience. Your exceptional assessment and screening skills will enable you to identify areas of need and develop targeted interventions to support clients in their recovery journey.Key Responsibilities- Provide face-to-face interactions with clients, conducting assessments and screenings to inform treatment plans
- Deliver client education and counseling on MAT-related topics
- Collaborate with public health staff to promote the MAT program through various health promotion strategies
- Utilize telehealth systems to reach clients unable to visit clinics in person
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with community partners to enhance service delivery
RequirementsWe require a background in public health, experience working with community partners, and a solid understanding of health systems. Licensure as a Certified Nurse Practitioner by the New Mexico Board of Nursing is essential, along with two years of relevant experience or any combination of education and direct experience totaling two years.
