As a skilled Facilities Painter at Legends Casino Hotel, you will be responsible for performing journey-level facilities painting work, including stripping, sanding, priming, painting, and staining. You will also be required to paint outdoor walkway and driveway striping, prepare surfaces and joints for painting, and consult product labels and Global SDS sheets to ensure team member and guest safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Performs all types of facilities painting work, including stripping, sanding, priming, painting, and staining.
- Paints outdoor walkway and driveway striping.
- Prepares surfaces and joints for painting with sandpaper, scrapers, and sanders.
- Consults product labels and Global SDS sheets to ensure team member and guest safety.
- Works with other trade personnel in the design and fabrication of parts or assemblies as needed.
- Maintains an inventory of painting equipment and materials necessary to ensure a timely response to most routine work requests.
Requirements:
- Journeyman level status in the painting trade required.
- Five (5) years of painting experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have experience in all aspects of facility painting, including paint and finish selection, tool and equipment use, and maintenance, and environmental hazards.
Physical Requirements:
- The candidate must have the ability to lift and carry 50 lbs.
- Work above ceilings from a ladder and safely operate power and hand tools and equipment common to the carpentry trades.
- Recognize and correctly interpret common safety warning signs.
- Communicate effectively in the English language.
